Description
Magnificent silver plaque on wood custom box showing battle scene with horses and soldiers. Plaque is repousse silver top box with silver mark and Henryk Winograd’s(1917-2008)initials. He was considered to be one of the most talented of the silversmiths to do repousse work in the 20 the c and his work is in the Rotunda of Congress in Washington DC. There is a big collection of his work in the Smithsonian as well. The plaque in this box is 4 1/8 x 5 7/8 approximately and the box is in excellent condition. Box is 2 1/4 inches high , 6 3/4 long and 5 inches wide.
